Bird-Dad

Alright, so it's quite late now, but i can't just ignore this growing, living thing that i've started.

I've recently acquired Andrew BIRD's album, Noble Beast. The man is a volcano of violin plucking talent, and i'm glad to have been put onto him by an old american friend.

Tomorrow is also ma biggest fashion shoot of the whole year, so i'll be taken my time, watching the shots and making sure everything goes damn well. Location is a very old barn in the centre of Bagdad, that's where this image comes from.

This Bird-fellow wasn't looking 100% when i found him chilling out on a windowsill, but after about five takes we got the shot that worked best for both of us, (he wanted the emphasis on his legs, as his head wasn't his favorite feature).

Here's to finding beauty where others may not.

Goodwood is Good

One of the things i'm gonna do these holidays is photograph more of the fine people i share this state with. I've got a good feeling about it, especially after photographing this girl, Charlotte.
For this shoot, i wanted to be a little adventurous with my location, so Charlotte and i jumped into my truck and headed out into Goodwood, home to many commercial estates and also many a smashed up vehicle.

This was also my first time using a collection of Nikon speedlights, technical data goes:
SB800 on camera triggering SB600 on camera right, zoomed to 85mm, with dome diffuser.
Exposure through CLS.
